I mean, this is the first step of achieving your dreams to become rich, popular and or doing what you want to do for the rest of your life, and that it's not right to actually over think simple things like that for it will only give you a great amount of stress, not to mention the vast effort into putting them into thoughts.

I know that you are feeling the pressure of College and that it's your first time to actually step into the campus meeting familiar faces and or threatening people whom you do not know if you can trust or not! You have to calm down! Compose yourself, otherwise you will have that certain fear that will sure to last for days and or for the rest of your college life.

What to do? Well, it's pretty simple! you only have ease your mind and try to not think that objectively with people and or even the professors you will see. You see, this is the first thing you will have to do to be able to be accepted in College! There will be a lot of cross examination, including the written exams that will asses your skills if you have the intelligence to graduate school. If not, then you have no choice but to choose another college which will more or less be best fitted with you. But you know what!? Those things can be be overcome! That's if you know how to compose yourself!

What I mean by composing yourself is not of the literal! What i mean by  that is you have to be relaxed! Don't be so nervous and don't be cocky as well. Of course, for you to be able to feel that, you will and must look confident to! How? By looking good on the outside. Trust me on this one! Looks will definitely give you some edge which will make the professor consider your application a step higher than those who are not well groomed. After looking good, you'll feel that little by little you are feeling the confidence you need and that everything just flows perfectly. By that time, you can make sure that you have the right attitude that will make you stand out among the crowd, in a good way.

Knowing the Proper Manners During the College Interview

Thursday, December 29, 2011

In a college interview, knowing what to wear and what questions to answer are equally important also in knowing the proper manners during the college interview. Your behavior, your actions, gestures, and the way you answer the questions are very important aspects when you are having a college interview. You must give good impression to the college admission officer during the entire process so that it won’t be hard on him or her to accept you.

The college interview is not just a simple portion of your college admission requirements because this could help you present yourself to the college admission staff. Through the college interview, you will be able to impress the ones responsible in accepting and rejecting college applicants and be able to make it to the college admissions. As what I have said, first impressions do count. Thus, you must remember to dress decently and neatly when going to a college interview. Don’t let the way you dress up get in the way of connecting with your interviewer. You really don’t have to get into extreme fashion to get the attention of the interviewer. All you need to wear are decent clothes and remember not to over dress.

Be on the venue on time and greet your interview upon entering the door. Do not be too loud and boisterous when answering questions, modulate your voice and do not appear as if you are too shy to answer. Sit erect and place your hands on your lap. Avoid unnecessary gestures. Lastly, do not forget to send a thank you letter to your interviewer.

Thursday, December 22, 2011

While preparing for the college admission process, the main worry that an upcoming college student usually experiences is focused on picking the right major. Sometimes, a college student does not want to fail their own self or their parents and the other people surrounding them so as much as possible, they wanted to get right on picking their college major. But our first choice of college major does not really become our last in some cases and in some reasons.

Example, you wanted to become a doctor when you were still 10 years old, but there is no need to declare a major before your parents drive away! Unpack your boxes, why don’t you try out a few courses and stay awhile and see if the course that you chose is the right one for you. it is unlikely that you will have to pick a major during your freshman year, so work hard on your basic core classes and enjoy your college experience.

You don’t have to worry if you think you did not choose the right college major in the first place because it is not yet too late to try another one. There is no rule that once you fail in a college major, you can no longer move on and choose another one. There is no limitation on how many courses you will take and graduate from, but you must also try to keep in mind that time runs fast and it never stops so you must set a goal before choosing the right college major.

Choosing the Wrong College Can Lead to Failure

Choosing the wrong college can have the possibility to end up in college failure. Once you are not happy with the college of your choice, then you have no encouragement and motivation to move on in the second level of your college education, and this is not a good thing.

When you were still in high school, you were already dreaming about the college or university you wanted to get into so as early as junior high school, you are already preparing for the college admission requirements of the particular college you are dreaming to get admitted at. But what if once you are already attending classes on the college of your first choice and realized in the middle of the school year that you went wrong in the college of your choice, what will you do?

There is a wide range of institutions and academic standards. Students may find themselves at a college for which they are unprepared. Sometimes, the campus climate or the size may not be personally suitable. The right match of student and college is an important ingredient of college success and satisfaction and if you are already not happy with your choice, then there is a tendency that you will just end up failing out of college.

Be careful not to abuse the freedom of choosing any topic that you want. Having unlimited choices does not mean that all topics are appropriate, nor does it mean that you can submit anything that does not suit to be called an essay. Do not include too much comedy in your essay, but a little touch of humor will do. Despite of what topic you might choose, you must remember that your essay must reveal your personality, your character and the reasons why you’d make a good campus citizen to the college or university you are applying at.

Another helpful tip is to spend at least two-three hours of study everyday – you can do it on whatever part of the day that you think you can study best either in the morning, in the late afternoon, in the evening or late midnight. Aside from preparing your mental capacity, you also need to prepare your physical body. Take some time to eat nutritious foods because these can help your brain function well. These are the most common questions being asked by the upcoming freshmen college students and it is already anticipated, but their anxiety level is still increasing as their college graduation gets near. It is definitely undeniable that the college admission process is very unpredictable. Each college and university has their own standards or processes when it comes to college admissions so your experience in applying to a particular college or university will definitely differ from the other. Thus, if you are applying in a certain college, you have to think about the future. Just try to check from time to time you status of whether you are accepted or not so that you can go to another college if you are not accepted in on. With thousands of students applying on one college alone, your chances of being accepted is just small, especially when you are not really sure if you are highly qualified on their standards.
