Friday, February 24, 2012

The most important person that can help you during the college admissions process are the college admissionscounselors because they are the ones who know better about what the school is looking for and what the students must do during the admission process. Thus, in order for you to make sure that you get accepted from a particular college or university, then you must seek the advices of the admissions counselor.

According to them, more important that the GPA or the Sat scores, you also need to provide the admission staff with witty college admission essays because it can help the student get a spot in the next entering class. Most colleges and universities these days have already moved to make the standardized testing optional, preferring the qualitative materials that help a student stand out as an individual and not mainly on getting good grades and having a high score on SAT. After all, an 800 score can say that you are academically intelligent, but a witty college essay will give the committee or the admission staff a glimpse into who you are and how you think. And that is probably the most important thing of all.

Aside from the college essay, they are also more particular in the college interview because in here, they can personally get in touch, communicate and talk to their college applicants. In that way, you are also allowing them to know you better. Your job as an applicant is to communicate your unique qualities to the committee and this can be better presented during the college interview. Therefore, our college admissions counselor says that you need to do better on these more than anything else.
